On July 20, 1969 at 03:56 CET, Neil Armstrong was the first human to set foot on the Moon. In this book with more than 100 photos, Denmark's leading astrophysicist, Anja C. Andersen tells the exciting story of Earth's closest neighbor in space; facts and conspiracy theories, myths, hoaxes and facts. Until 1972, NASA carried out 5 more manned lunar landings and a total of 12 astronauts have set foot on the Moon. In addition, there have been countless unmanned lunar landings - most recently on January 3, 2019, when a Chinese spacecraft landed on the far side of the Moon. But there's still a lot we don't know: How did the Moon form and why does it only have water on the side facing Earth? How does the Moon affect us humans?
