Ping and find
With an AirTag in your wallet, there is no need to panic if you forget where you put it. Just open the Items tab in the Find app and play a sound through the built-in speaker, or say Hi Siri, find my wallet. If it's hidden somewhere nearby - e.g. under the sofa or in the room next door - just follow the sound to find it again.
Getting warm
If your AirTag is nearby, your iPhone can take you directly to it with Precise Search. With Ultra Wideband technology, you can see both how far away your AirTag is and in which direction you should go.
Get help from millions of friends you just have not met yet
Do not despair if you have forgotten something far away, e.g. on the beach or in the gym. The Find network, made up of hundreds of millions of iPhone, iPad and Mac devices worldwide, helps you find your AirTag again. And the system is designed to protect your anonymity throughout.
Lost makes things even easier to find
Like your other Apple devices, AirTag can be set as Lost. You will then automatically receive a notification when it is detected by a device on the network. You can also set your AirTag to show your contact information if someone touches it with an NFC-compatible smartphone - it's the same technology that allows people to pay for things with their phones.
Built-in anonymity
Only you can see where your AirTag is. Your location data and history will never be stored on the AirTag device itself. Devices that forward your AirTags location also remain anonymous and their location data is encrypted throughout. Not even Apple knows the location of your AirTags or the identity behind the device that helps find it.
