Stress is an invitation - to look at what's not working in our lives. The inspiration for this book comes from the authors' own personal experiences. Both stress consultant Katrine Marie Jensen and journalist Irene Aya Schou have experienced stress and asked themselves the question: What can stress tell me? The authors' stories are included in the book along with eight other stories. What all the contributors have in common is that stress has been the start of a new life. A search for identity. Who am I when I am not my work? Who am I when I don't have to constantly meet the needs and expectations of others? The message of the book is that stress affects us all and that we all have a shared responsibility to solve it. In the book, families and children share how stress has turned their lives upside down. There are stories of managers asking employees for help and companies that have changed their culture after employees have experienced stress. It takes courage to turn breakdowns into breakthroughs and blaze new trails. But it can be done - with mutual help.
