Danish military forces have been engaged in many places in recent years - often in actual combat operations. Despite the human and economic costs, the use of armed force has become a common part of Denmark's active foreign policy to such an extent that foreign policy today can be described as military activism.
This book offers a number of suggestions on how we can politicologically understand a Denmark that is often at war, and examines the new connection between war and politics in Denmark. In doing so, the book discusses many of the strategic, democratic and political challenges that come with military activism.
