Throw a fireball at them!" Noah shouted.
They all looked expectantly at Ali, who was staring down at his blue wizard's robe."Why are you looking at me?"
"Because you're a wizard, you fool," Oliver replied.
"How do you usually do it?" Noah sounded desperate.
"I don't know. I just read how much damage they deal and roll some dice!"
Oliver, Noah and Ali are about to role-play as usual when they suddenly find themselves in a dark basement filled with monsters out to kill them. The mysterious girl Mathilde shows up to help them break the magic. She tells them that if you die in the game, you die in real life. Now all the tricks are in play if they are to survive Crisis in the Basement.
The first volume in a series of 7 books.

Reviews
Libraries' material rating: 'These are a couple of really good stories. Fans of role-playing games will be entertained here. A great new series. Recommended for purchase.'
Nor and Dad read: 'The book is really good at using role-playing mechanics along the way. The group also moves from room to room, and while they fight enemies in some rooms, tasks and puzzles await them in others.
We loved how this structure provides a nice change of pace, whereas in gamer books, it's typically all action all the time, with one firefight after another.'
Mydailybookdenmark: 'The books are entertaining and give a good insight into role-playing games. I laughed out loud at Oliver's annoyance at his player's large breasts.'
