She was also a citizen of the world, reporting from the fascist takeover in Italy to the Indian freedom struggle against British colonialism. And she became best known as a tenacious defender of the children who often lived a miserable life in Danish orphanages and educational institutions. The book can be used as free reading and for teaching about feminism, peace work, Gandhi and India, and the boys' home Godhavn.
