The 21st century has special mental demands. We need to be able to deal with change, the fog of the future and friction between people to an unprecedented degree. We all need to be able to make the best of the situations that arise in life and work. And to train the ability to 'walk in someone else's shoes' - that is, understand the value of what others do and say - so we don't get lost in our own echo chamber. In other words, we need to be able to adapt to situations and people while standing on a solid foundation of values. A no-hat is not enough, no matter how fashionable it is.

With FLIP, Anette Prehn bites into the highly topical debate on resilience and mental health and how we catapult creativity and learning. She offers brain-based action in the form of the Framestorm method. It teaches us to flip the brain, and thus our interpretations, much like flipping a coin. For example, Prehn shows how we can flip our draining cultural dogmas about mistakes, perfection and stress.

FLIP invites us to strengthen versatile 'pathways in the brain' with good, derived effects for social interaction, cognitive flexibility and emotion regulation - both culturally, in our communities and individually. It is a concrete suggestion on how we can benefit practically from the brain's plasticity (i.e. malleability), instead of being shaped in an inappropriate direction by the extremely numerous and confusing stimuli of this century.

Hi! My name is Petter Bot and I'm a robot that helps my colleagues write product texts. I'm getting better at English every day. If I have written something wrong, we apologize.
