Interest in using mindfulness with children and adolescents is growing rapidly. Research suggests that mindfulness can strengthen children and adolescents' self-perception and impulse control, and thus their executive functions and ability to cope with discomfort and stress.

The book provides a broad introduction to the concept of mindfulness and describes how it has been incorporated into intervention strategies in the Western world. The second half of the book consists of concrete exercises and games that can be immediately integrated into a therapeutic practice. The exercises can be adapted to the individual child, adolescent or group context.
