With the anthology 'Student Perspectives', contributors were invited to offer their ideas on how the term 'Student Perspectives' can be understood and applied. This could be either as part of their own practical experience as teachers or educators or based on their own research through empirically based studies - all with the goal of suggesting improvements to school practice based on a curiosity about students' perspectives rather than the ideas and thoughts of teachers, educators or other professionals.The book is divided into three parts, the first of which is a broad examination of the concept of 'student perspectives' - both how it has changed historically, but also how it is expressed in today's schools and how professionals can approach student perspectives. The second part goes into a discussion of why it is necessary and important to include student perspectives in school as a form of practice. We get close to marginalized students, students' struggle with boredom and how important the teacher-student relationship is for students' schooling. The third part is a more practice-oriented exploration of how to use and incorporate student perspectives to improve student learning.With contributions by:
