"Then he ignited those German hell missiles with a tinderbox, and by God, the devilry worked! Emil farted along the tiled walkway with a swish. It is said that quite a few, both staff and residents, choked on their oatmeal when Emil's pink, jerky ass whizzed past the panoramic windows in the dining room."

Journalist Sigurd Holm Hansen is sent to the nursing home "Perleporten" to interview Denmark's oldest man, EmilSortsyn.

Unfortunately, Sortsyn has just died under bizarre circumstances, so Sigurd has to settle for Sortsyn's strange roommate's rendition of the birthday boy's incredible life story.

It will be a black day for Danish journalism.
