The occupation continues to be a reference in our time, and the period contains a number of dilemmas that students today can relate to and that continue to be interesting to discuss. In many families, the great-grandfather's or grandfather's involvement in the resistance is a big part of their identity, which makes the occupation relevant and present for students.
The book is built up of a number of overview chapters that provide a framework for the reader in relation to Denmark's position during the period and the course of the occupation. In addition, the resistance movement is described in a number of chapters that deal with the subject chronologically and thematically. The chapters are provided with assignments and sources. Finally, there is a chapter on the debate and memory of the resistance struggle in the post-war period and a chapter aimed at those writing assignments on the subject.
The Resistance Movement can be used as a basic book for a course or as a starting point for writing assignments.
